THE WORLD'S MOST DEADLY KILLER HAS ARRIVED IN BELGRADE: Here's what she told Telegraf! (PHOTO)

Belgrade is now home to a cat with the deadliest bite in the world. Currently, she's nervous and tired from her trip, but that did not prevent us from visiting her

The Belgrade Zoo can once again boast with a jaguar - a few days ago, a nine-year old female jaguar returned to her cage, after being sent to Jagodina in 2006, because the Belgrade garden did not have proper conditions for her keeping.

This beast, whose jaws in the animal world can be put in the rank of deadliest weapons, still has no name, but is jokingly called "Lassie" because she is home again.

As a two-month cub, she was moved to Jagodina zoo, but a few days ago returned to her home cage, where she was provided with all the features of comfortable accommodation for jaguars.

- We have arranged a part for cat climbers who had to be covered and equipped with the maximum standards, since these cats can climb. We made her a swimming pool with water, because she loves to swim. In the garden in Jagodina we left her sister as to allow the citizens of Jagodina to see a jaguar - said Gvozden Radenkovic, Director of the Zoo.

Lassie spends most of her time in her lair, but yesterday we say her in the corner of her cage, where she was dozing off. According to her veterinarian, she is probably not in a good mood because during her transportation from Jagodina, she spent a long time in a closed coffin, and needs some time to adjust to her new home, which she probably doesn't remember after all these years.

The female jaguar, which will adorn the Belgrade zoo for another decade, since those in captivity can live up to 22 years, eat only meat, of which she eats about 2 kilos on a daily basis, but in the wild, after a period of fasting and hunting, can eat 25 kilograms of meat.

SECRET BLOODY DOG FIGHTS IN SERBIA: They torture and abuse animals all to earn big bucks!

She prefers great game, as is deer, wild boar, capybara, small tapirs, monkeys, anaconda and caiman, and is known to hunt mice, frogs, birds, fish, sloths and turtles, but because such a diverse menu is limited in her cage, she is content with cow and goat meat. The only non-meat food eaten by jaguars are turtle eggs.

This species is threatened, because during the seventies and eighties of the last century, a large number of jaguars were hunted for trophies. Researchers put the figure of 25,000 skins that came out yearly from South American forests. After most states banned the hunting of jaguars, their number has increased.

Jaguars kill their prey with one powerful bite through the skull in the area behind the ears. Previously, they sneak up and attack prey by jumping from their blind spot, and they have developed this skill so no observer, albeit scientist zoologist or a local resident, has never seen their hunting methods.

Lassie is the only cat of the zoo who loves and knows to climb and swim, which is why she was provided with her own personal pool.
