The woman that sent the aid package to the family in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) during the war, remained shocked after she received the thank you message in her Inbox on Facebook 22 years later.

Lowri Owain Glin (28) participated in the humanitarian action for Christmas in one of those war years. Those that got her package told her how grateful they are for what they received.

It is believed that this is the first time that a social media helped the unification of the sender and recipient.

Growing up in Ruthin (Denbighshire, Wales), Mrs Glin did not have any clue what was going on in BiH, but she decided to join the Christmas action to help children. She packed few toys, tooth brush, paste and her picture.

I was six and i had no idea what was going on in BiH. I knew there was war but i could not perceive the size of it. But, somehow, i was aware that the help box will go to children in trouble - said Glin not knowing if anything is going to happen after that.

- During the month, i received a message from the lady with the picture i send as a child. First i thought it was someone that i met on vacation who saved my picture, but it turned out it was Anes Avdic-Dzinalic, the person married to  Mirzet Dzinalic, who received the package at the time.

He, and his sister Safida, were astonished with what they got and decided to save the picture of the sender. Of course, the key in the story was Safida. Dzinalic family now lives in Sweden, and Glin is determined to find them and meet with them.

- Many people who participate in these actions write a letter, send a picture, but I never heard that someone found someone in this way - said Glin.
