Although she was a student of the generation at the Department of Russian and Serbian Language and Literature at Banja Luka Faculty of Philology, with an average grade of 9.89, Galina-Marija Vukajlovic cannot find a job.

In order to earn money, she sells books at a street stand in the center of Banja Luka because she applied to many jobs and she had no luck so far, reports Radio Slobodna Evropa. 

- I am unemployed ever since I graduated from University, and that was in October 2017. I am doing something all the time, I get by, I held some courses in Modrica for three months, now I am working here for around 20 days, I am mostly holding some classes of Russian language, I am translating some texts, and that is how it goes, from time to time - Galina-Marija Vukajlovic said for Radio Slobodna Evropa.

She said that she had no illusions about finding a job in her line of work. However, she admits that she is a bit disappointed for applying in vain. 

- When I enrolled at university I didn't think that I will be able to find a job in schools, I was hoping that I will get a job in some company, organisation, since more and more Russian companies are coming here, so I still hope that something might happen, I applied there, but unfortunately, nothing, no one even contacted me - she said.

While waiting for buyers, she reads Falcones' "Cathedral of the sea", and she recommends "New Jerusalem" by Pekic. 

According to the state agency for work from May 2018, there were 475,000 unemployed persons in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
