After the quarter of century, first direct flight from Belgrade to New York took off this morning around 8 AM. 254 passengers will have the opportunity to enter history. Among the passengers there are numerous celebrities, as well as the minister of transport Zorana Mihajlovic.

Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport welcomes Airbus A330
The airplane flew over Scotland around 11 AM and started its flight over the Atlantic ocean, and is moving with speed of 850 km/h. It is estimated for the flight to last 9.5 hours. "Nikola Tesla" is currently over the Atlantic.

Telegraf will continue to follow the flight "Air Serbia" on radar. It was planned for the plane to take off at 7:30 AM. With the half an hour delay, the plane took of at 8:08. 10 minutes after it entered in Croatia, then in Slovenia and then in Austria. It was at Germany in 30 minutes, just before 9 AM.
In 9:43 the plane of "Air Serbia" entered Netherlands. Upon exit, it reached England over the North Sea and then Scotland. Currently is flying over Atlantic.
On the flight there are football player Dejan Stankovic, Zoran Babic, opera singer Jadranka Jovanovic, designer Verica Rakocevic. There are precisely 254 passengers on the first flight to New York after 24 years.
