Minister of Trade and Tourism Predrag Gluharovic told reporters after the government session that the part of the distributors promised to reduce the price of fuel by 5 fenings.

He will initiate, he said, a joint meeting with the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Mirko Sarovic and the Minister of Trade of BiH Zlatan Vujanovic to discuss the solution of the issues related to fuel prices.

Distributors in the Republic of Srpska will consider reducing the taxes that are 22 fenings per liter at the moment.

- Some have already responded to the call, so fuel prices, depending on the region, will be from 1.09 to 1.19 euros - Gluhakovic said and emphasized that fuel in Srpska is still the cheapest in the region.

He recalled that fuel in Srpska was the most expensive in 2012 when the liter was 1,36 euros.

Gluhakovic pointed out that there are no monopolies in the Republika Srpska and each distributor determines how much will they lower their prices, and he said that he will ask the distributors to consider buying fuel from the Oil Refinery Brod so it will be cheaper because they are getting it from abroad now, RTRS reports.
