Three latest weather warnings: Serbia is melting in a heatwave, but the worst is yet to come

In Serbia, most the days until July 29 will be sunny and very warm

The Republic Hydrometeorological Institute (RHMZ) issued a warning early this morning regarding high temperatures throughout Serbia.

"Very warm weather in the last decade of July in Serbia. Maximum temperature on Friday and Saturday from 35 to 40 degrees Celsius. From Sunday to Wednesday in northern, western and central regions, temperature will drop slightly, in most places it will range from 33 to 35° C, in the south and east up to 37° C. It will be warmer again at the end of the week," the RHMZ announced.

A similar alert was issued for Belgrade.

"Very warm weather in the last decade of July in the Belgrade area. Maximum temperature on Friday and Saturday from 37 to 39° C. Then a small drop, from Sunday to Thursday from 33 to 36° C, and at the end of the week it will be warmer again."

There is also a hydrological warning on the RHMZ website.

"Water on the Danube, as well as on the Sava near Sremska Mitrovica and Sabac, will be below low navigation levels in the coming days. On Jadar, Kolubara with its tributaries, Mlava, Lugomir, Jablanica and Stari Begej, the flows approach the minimum average monthly values of 95% safety (biological minimum)," it is stated.

Morning temperature will range from 12 to 22 today, daily highs from 35 to 38 degrees, announced RHMZ.

In Serbia, most of days until July 29 will be sunny and very warm.

Only on Sunday and in mid next week local occurrence of short-lasting rain and showers with thunder are expected.

The hottest day will be Saturday, around 40 degrees in some places, while a small temperature drop will follow starting on Sunday.
