President Aleksandar Vucic held an unscheduled press conference on Friday morning, after a terrorist attack that took place last night near Mladenovac, a suburban Belgrade municipality, when a gunman killed eight people and wounded 14 more.

"We must live in freedom and stand up to evil. We have to win over this together and it has nothing to do with political parties, together, as citizens, for the sake of our children, our grandparents. On Monday, regardless of all the sadness and pain, we will have to continue living and working. But we should also change systemically," said Vucic, and added:

"We had 25 interventions and received 20 false reports because our children are imitating a murderer. Our police cannot work fast enough to arrest everyone."

Another mass shooting happened in Serbia just two days ago, when an elementary school student killed eight classmates and a security guard in a school in central Belgrade.
