Defense minister meets with Russian ambassador: Serbia is grateful for support provided by Russia

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Milos Vucevic met on Tuesday with Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Belgrade Aleksandr Botsan-Kharchenko.

During the meeting, Minister Vucevic stressed that Serbia is grateful for the support that the Russian Federation provides in preserving the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country and conveyed that our long-term strategic commitment is to maintain the status of a militarily neutral state.

The current security situation in Kosovo and Metohija and in the region was discussed during the meeting.

It was an opportunity to introduce the new defense envoy of the Russian Federation, General-Major Andrei Kindyakov, who recently assumed that role.
