BELGRADE HORROR: 24-year-old falls from building in front of passers-by, roommates shed NEW LIGHT on tragedy!

Silence, shock and disbelief reigned last night in the Belgrade municipality of Palilula when, around 21:00, a young young woman fell onto the pavement in front of a multi-story building, leaving passers-by completely stunned.

The scene in Palilula last night was reminiscent of something from a horror movie. As pedestrians were still out in the streets, the body of THE 24-year-old ended up on the concrete in front of the building where she lived.

While the police and the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office (VJT) are trying to find out whether this was an accident or a deliberate jump, neighbors and eyewitnesses are finding it hard to recover from what they have seen.

Eyewitness: "We thought something fell from a balcony"

One of the residents of the building, who was only a few meters away from the place of the fall at the time of the tragedy, described the moments of horror for our portal.

"It all happened in a split second. I was walking my dog and suddenly there was this eerie, dull thump. At first I thought that a flower pot or a piece of furniture had fallen from a balcony, but when I approached... I will never forget that scene as long as I live. The young woman was lying motionless, and soon a scream was heard from one of the higher floors. People started to run out of the building, there was panic," said a visibly shaken neighbor.

Mystery in the apartment: What do the roommates know?

While the ambulance crew was only able to pronounce the woman dead, the police immediately blocked the entrance to the building. The focus of the investigation is on the apartment where she lived with her friends. Investigators spent hours interviewing her roommates, trying to find out what happened just before 21:00 last night.

For now, the answers are locked behind police tapes. It is not known whether there was an argument, or if the young woman quietly decided to jump to her death. The VJT ordered an autopsy and a toxicology report to determine whether she was under the influence of any substances.

"She was a wonderful child"

Neighbors have only words of praise for the young woman, which further deepens the mystery of this tragedy.

None of the acquaintances noticed that she had serious problems.

So far, there is no information that she left any message behind.

Residents of Palilula are upset because all information is still kept strictly secret.

The Belgrade police continue to investigate, and the key answers will be provided by the autopsy report which is expected in the coming days. Until then, Palilula remains silent in the wake of a tragedy that extinguished a young life in a second.
