TELEGRAF AT SCENE OF MLADENOVAC HORROR: Audi moving from Belgrade ends up under bus
A Telegraf.rs team is at the scene of a horrific traffic accident in Mladenovac, a suburban municipality of Belgrade.
Traces of the tragedy are still visible on the road, parts of an Audi scattered for tens of meters, fuel spilled on the asphalt.
M.J. (42) died during the crash last night, while seven young people and the driver of a bus were injured.
The scene of the accident hours after the tragedy was still chilling.
Audi was moving from Belgrade
As a Telegraf reporter learned at the scene, the victim M.J. was traveling in the passenger car from the direction of Belgrade towards Mladenovac.
For yet undetermined reasons, he suddenly crossed into the opposite lane and crashed directly into an oncoming bus. The force of the impact made the car literally bounce off the road and crash into the concrete fence next to it.
Impact marks testify to terrifying speed
Heavy damage is visible on the concrete fence into which the Aud" crashed, while parts of plastic, bodywork and glass are scattered along this entire part of the road.
"The scene was horrible. Fuel spilled on the road, and the car was completely destroyed beyond recognition. The unfortunate driver had no chance, the rescuers pulled his lifeless body out of the destroyed vehicle," a source from the scene told Telegraf.rs.
Autopsy and expert examination
The on-site investigation was personally led by the prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Mladenovac, who ordered an autopsy to be performed on the victim.
Bus driver S.DJ. (41) was tested for alcohol but was not under the influence. Both vehicles - the bus and the Audi A4 - have been removed from the road and will be undergo technical examination to determine whether a possible malfunction of the car is the cause of this tragedy.
