Serbia is devoting particular attention to the national approach in the context of public participation in crime prevention, strongly encouraging partnerships among young people, social and economic inclusion and respect of cultural and religious diversity, he said.

The results of agreements from this year's Congress in the form of new recommendations and policies will contribute to the joint fight against crime and strengthening the cooperation in this field, Dacic said.

This is a foundation for building more just and more developed societies and a better future for young generations, he said.

One of Serbia's main priorities within the UN system is implementing the Millennium Development Goals and adopting a new global development agenda for the period after 2015, in whose making we had an active role, Dacic said.
