V. P. (37) from Barajevo was arrested on the suspicion of beating and raping his mother-in-law (57) on Easter Sunday. This crime occurred after Easter lunch hosted by her daughter and son-in-law.

The victim was planning on visiting her sister after lunch when V. P. offered to give her a ride on his tractor. The two of them went from Barajevo to Drazanovac, when he suddenly turned off the main road onto a gravel one.

- The suspect stopped the tractor in a grove and told his mother-in-law he was going to urinate. However, he went around the tractor from the back side, and grabbed the victim by surprise. He pulled her out of the cab, and began savagely beating her, and then raped her - says a source from the investigation for the Belgrade Media.

V. P. hit his mother-in-law so strong, that he broke her ribs.

- When he finished torturing his mother-in-law, he drove the severely beaten woman to her sister's and threatened her not to tell anyone anything. However, as soon as she got home, she told her sister what had happened and immediately called the police and an ambulance. After an examination, the doctors confirmed that she was raped, as there were horrific injuries on her genitals - said a source from the investigation.

V. P. was arrested soon after, and admitted to police what he had done. He did not explain to them why he did it, but he said he was not drunk when he raped his mother in law.
