The scandalous statement of a Croatian politician: How could you hire a Serb?

-Mayor, how could you hire Momcilo, a Serb? Do you know exactly how many Serbs there are in Split? I have nothing against minorities, but I cannot understand why he was privileged compared to other candidates - said Skoric and requested that the decision change and that "Momcilo the Serb" lose his job

The head of the Split HDZ, Petar Skoric criticized Mayor Ivo Baldasar that the job of city traffic marshal was given to a citizen of Split of Serbian nationality, on the basis of the Law on Minorities regulating employment in the city.

- Mayor, how could you hire Momcilo, a Serb? Do you know exactly how many Serbs there are in Split? A certain Momcilo got the job, and he's employed because he had the advantage of the law on minorities. I have nothing against minorities, but I cannot understand why he was privileged in comparison to other candidates. Serbs in Split make up only 1.6 percent - said Skoric and requested that the decision be changed and that "Momcilo the Serb" lose his job, transmits "Novosti".

Serbs in Croatia SHOULD NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE: Filthy statement from a Bundestag deputy!

Only eleven people were employed after the job posting for the position of the city's security guard, of which nearly more than 200 people applied to. By law, guardians had preference and citizens of Serbian nationality invoked the law on minorities that controls certain advantages in employment.

This xenophobic outburst by Petar Skoric indicates the weight of poor living conditions for Serbs in Croatia, which is already more than two years a member of the European Union. Even more amazing is that this almost fascistic comment sparked wider and more drastic reactions of the democratic structures in Croatia.
