Second day in a row storm is on a rampage in Osijek and it makes terrible material damage. Strong winds blasted off the roof from the building of Pediatrics Clinical hospital center, and in Antunavacka street in Tenja, a tree fell down onto a family home and split it in half.

Great volume of water breached into rooms where patients were lying, so some of them had to be transferred to other rooms.

- Damage will be measured in millions. We experienced true material disaster and now, with health and taking care of the patients, it's very important to also protect expensive medical equipment - said Dr Vlatko Kopic, acting deputy of the hospital.

At Tvrdja branches broke electric wiring and the streetcar traffic has been put to a hold, the Emperor Hadrijan street has been closed for traffic. On some crossroads the wind was taking down traffic lights, numerous streets and basements were flooded...

Firefighters had more than a hundred different interventions, and it is expected that the number will be significantly higher.

- City Osijek looks like it has been bombed - said Boris Banjan from the fire department.

Its no better in the nearby Cepin, which is also engulfed by bad weather followed by heavy rain, so part of the place was left without electricity. Great damage was caused to the crops, to arable land and gardens. In the city suburb Visnjevac, many basements were flooded.
