Waiter from Kosovo fell down to his knees in front of Bill Clinton and thanked him: Former president grabbed his hand and cried

Former US president Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary had lunch at the renowned New York restaurant when their meal was interrupted by emotional waiter, transmitted Politiko.

While Bill and Hillary enjoyed the smoked salmon and sea bass, a waiter, originating from Kosovo, was kneeling before them and thanked him for saving his life when he was a teenager. He was so affected that he caught the waiter's hand and cried out.

- Sir, I want to thank you. Had it not been for you, I would not be alive - the waiter said, and then told them his story.

When he was 16 he was living in Kosovo, in the moment when war was roaring in that area. His father and other members of the family were tortured during the conflict and they ran to the hills. Their life was saved by the NATO intervention that changed the course of the war, and soon, one waiter ended up in USA shortly after that.

Most of the staff of the restaurant were Albanians and after dinner, Clinton spend some time shaking hands with waiters, cooks and other people thankful for his support.
