President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said, regarding Pristina media reports that the date of the meeting in Washington will be postponed and that it would last longer into the night, that nothing has been agreed yet, but that there have been initiatives for a short postponement.

"We'll see, I'm waiting to see what that's about, then we'll let you know. You said in your question that there will be pressure, well there alwayswill be, but we cannot just run away and never agree on anything. Whatever someone in the world writes, we write that they are offering us horror without even reading it. I don't think it will be easy, do I personally feel a great burden on that issue: yes, but I can guarantee that I will fight for the interests of Serbia. And what some are fantasizing about, that recognition of Kosovo will be signed there, there is no possibility for it to happen under any circumstances," he said.

Topics of the meeting at the White House

Asked whether political topics could be on the table during the meeting at the White House, as recently announced by Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic, Vucic said that he does not know what the hosts could present as topics, except what he had been informed about so far, and these are economic topics, something that's already been talked about.

"I cannot guarantee that there won't be, but I would like them to be only economic topics, because the European Union is responsible for political dialogue and status issues, in accordance with the UN decision which we accepted earlier. But, I am not ruling out surprises," Vucic told reporters in Batajnica.

He also said that he follows what Pristina media write and that it is known with whom Pristina has contacts in both the American and the Brussels administrations, and that Belgrade has not reached special conclusions, except for what Prime Minister of the provisional institutions Avdullah Hoti has already confirmed, and that is that improvement of economic relations will be discussed in a concrete way.

"If there is anything else, you will be informed immediately, I will react and inform you about it," said Vucic.

Anniversary of the disappearance of two journalists

22 years ago, Radio Pristina employees disappeared, and Vucic said that at that time Serbs were a majority in Bresje, and that all surrounding places were Serb.

"Then you could see all the problems we faced as a state, our state cannot do anything about it, and it does not occur to them (Pristina) to reveal to us at least where they lie buried - if they have been hilled killed, and they've hardly been alive all this time without anything being known about them. I said in Brussels that we are ready to open all the archives. They said that they wanted excavations in Batajnica, but we also said that we wanted excavations in Kosovo and Metohija and they did not agree," he said.
