This is Crisis HQ decision on anti Covid measures: Here's what remains in force until further notice

At today's session, the first in 2021, the Crisis HQ extended the validity of the existing measures

The meeting of the Crisis HQ for the fight agains coronavirus, the first of this year, was held today at 10 am.

The HQ members decided that all existing measures should remain in force, as well as that there should be no obstacles for the school year to restart on January 18.

Thus, hospitality facilities will continue to work until 8 pm, the same as shopping malls, while grocery stores can stay open until 9 pm, and the measure of obligatory negative PCR testing for everyone enterinh the country will be extended, Telegraf.rs has learned from the Crisis HQ.

Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabic said yesterday that she had already started talks with the medical part of the Crisis HQ about all the measures, about entering Serbia, schools, and about measures for the economy.

By the way, the measures that were adopted on the eve of the New Year, so that hospitality facilities, shopping centers and service activities can work until 8 pm, and grocery stores until 9 pm, were valid until today.

Until yesterday, the measure of mandatory producing of a negative PCR test not older than 48 hours for everyone who enters Serbia was also valid.

Today, the Crisis HQ was expected extend the validity of the existing measures, or adopt new ones, all depending on the assessment of the epidemiological situation.

The numbers have been better in the days before the New Year, however, epidemiologists point out that they are not realistic, considering that during the holidays fewer people see the doctor, and thus get tested.

Sunday cross-section

According to the data by Sunday at 3 pm, another 1,795 people were infected, and 34 patients died.

There were 201 patients on ventilators. 10,564 people were tested in 24 hours, of which 16.99 percent were positive.

So far, a total of 2,399,702 people have been tested, with 359,689 positive. Since the beginning of the epidemic, 3,582 people have died in Serbia.
