President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic attended a ceremony on Internal Affairs Day and Police Day held in front of the Palace of Serbia, after which he addressed the media.

"The strength of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Serbian Army is increasing. We will provide ever higher salaries, today they are already at an all-time high. Our economic progress is something we can be proud of. Congratulations to the minister on the whole ceremony. Thanks to all these people and their families, because they know how hard it is when no one cares about them. Thank you and congratulations." said Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, after the ceremony which celebrated Police and Interior Ministry Days.

Replying to a question regarding the signed Resolution on Srebrenica in Montenegro, Vucic said that he did not understand why someone was interfering in the issues of other countries.

"What does Srebrenica have to do with Montenegro, why are they interfere in someone else's relations. Who are we to arbitrate between Turkey and Armenia, we are dealing with ourselves. They deliberately wanted to leave a stigma on an entire nation. I believe that there will be those who essentially want good relations with Serbia," said Vucic.

"Everything they did, it is clear, is turned against the vital interests of Serbia. Let them stay away, do their job however they want. What interests me is to tell our people in the region that they should raise their heads and not be affected by the fact that someone intended to brand them."

He said that he understands all the nervousness of the former and current rulers there, because, he added, the results that say it all.

"I want them to return to the path of a better economy as soon as possible, to recover, I just ask them not to tell stories about friendship and brotherhood. We do not need anything from those who did this, without informing someone and addressing them on that occasion. As far as Serbia is concerned, we continue to do our job, we will take care of our people, we will help Serbian cultural institutions in Montenegro, we will encourage Serbs to keep their language and script. That is what our job is," said Vucic.

Vucic said that he was fed up with meaningless apologies and justifications that representatives of the Serbian state made as proof of good will, towards someone who has never showed good will.

Everything is now secure in Sloboda

"The competent state authorities are investigating everything, everything is now safe and secure, there is one strange thing, the first report states that there was an explosion in a room that had no electrical installations, we will examine in detail all the reasons for the fire and explosion, everything will be examined. We will definitely find out what was going on there. The question of subjective and objective responsibility will be asked," Vucic said while talking about the new explosion in the Sloboda factory in Cacak.

IMF

The IMF has confirmed a new advisory arrangement with Serbia that will last 30 months. Commenting on this, Vucic says that these issues, which are the most important, usually cause ridicule among individuals.

He says that Serbia is holding on to 58 percent of the public debt, and the state of public finances is of crucial importance for us. He stressed that he is proud of the implemented measures and points out that he is optimistic when it comes to forecasts for economic growth and progress in Serbia.

"We want the fight against corruption to bring us even greater economic strength, and thus the trust of investors, and I believe that we are on the right track," said the president.
