88 new Covid cases in Serbia in one day, 3 patients die: 3 more cities to have over 50% vaccinated

Coronavirus was confirmed in 88 people in the last 24 hours, and at the same time 3 patients died from Covid.

7,992 people were tested.

21 patients are on venitlators.

341 patients are hospitalized.

New cases by city

Belgrade 23, Kragujevac 8, Novi Pazar 6, Bosilegrad 6, Cacak 5, Nova Varos 4, while other towns have fewer than four newly infected people.

The total number of deaths is 7,004. The total number of registered cases is 715,841. The total number of tested people is 4,343,775. The mortality rate is 0.98%.

Brnabic: In three more cities, over than 50 percent is vaccinated

Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabic announced today that Vrbas, Dimitrovgrad and Vranje have crossed the threshold of 50 percent of vaccinated adult population, while in the Belgrade municipalities of Stari Grad and Savski Venac, more than 70 percent of adult citizens have been vaccinated.

Brnabic also said on Twitter that she hoped that in the next 48 hours, Nova Varos, Loznica and Kraljevo will have more than 50 percent of vaccinated adult population.

"As of today, Vrbas, Dimitrovgrad and Vranje have more than 50 percent of vaccinated adult population. Nova Varos, Loznica and Kraljevo are also very close, I hope that in the next 48 hours they will be in the group of 50 percent plus, while Belgrade municipalities of Stari Grad and Savski Venac have exceeded 70 percent!," stated Brnabic.

The prime minister reminded of her announcement from June 9, when she congratulated Medvedja, Zrenjanin, Svrljig, Zajecar, Sabac and Sombor on joining cities and municipalities with more than 50 percent of vaccinated adult population.
