Czech President Milos Zeman becomes member of the Czech-Serbian Association of Cooperation

President of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman signed his application for membership in the association on Wednesday in his office at the Prague Fortress, in the presence of President of the Czech-Serbian Association for Mutual Cooperation Radima Panenka.

In this way, the president of the Republic officially expressed his support for the activities in the field of development of Czech-Serbian relations, which have had a historical tradition since the time of the first Czechoslovak President Tomas Garrigue Masaryk.

Milos Zeman has been known for a long time for his positive stance towards Serbia and the Serbian people. The signing of the application for membership in the association is understood as confirmation of that.

The Czech-Serbian Association for Mutual Cooperation, headed by President Radim Panenko and the Board of Directors, consisting of Marian Stepanovic and Katarina Budjevac, express their deepest gratitude to Mr. President Zeman for his selfless support, which he expressed to the association orally before it was founded, and has confirmed with his official signature.

Coincidentally, this event took place on the day of the ninth anniversary of Milos Zeman's first election as president, and also a day before the celebration of St. Sava, the great protector of the Serbian people.

The Czech-Serbian Association of Mutual Cooperation was founded in mid 2021 with the aim of primarily helping in the development of mutual relations between our two countries, the Czech Republic and Serbia, at the civic, social and economic institutional level.
