Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama assessed today that the Balkan countries should "grow up and forget the confusion from the past."

During the 18th Conference of the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative in Tirana, Rama pointed out that "we should not forget how much others have profited at our expense, the troubles we created for ourselves," reports Koha.

"We're here to stay. Serbia will not go anywhere, nor will Croats, Montenegrins. We will all be here. We have to grow up and forget all the troubles we've created for each other. We still have a long way to go, but today we are in a better place compared to where we used to be," said the prime minister of Albania.

Rama referred the situation in Ukraine an "extraordinary lesson," adding that one should continue on the path of peace.

"Today's realities show what can be achieved through peace and cooperation and what a loss it is to invest in hatred, division, anxiety," Rama said.
