President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic says that the problem for our country is that only tankers can deliver Russian oil to the Croatian oil pipeline Janaf, and that the sixth package of sanctions prohibits that.

Vucic said this in conversations with journalists in Ohrid, who referred to the fact that it would not be a problem if Serbia had a pipeline like Hungary has, and to the ban on the transport of Russian oil by tankers.

"We can only deliver it to Rijeka by tankers, and then from there to NIS," Vucic stressed, reports Tanjug.

Vucic added that instead, we can only get Iraqi oil through the Kirkuk oil pipeline.

He says that, according to some predictions, the price of oil will increase to as much as 150 or 170 dollars per barrel, but that it will also be affected by high consumption.

"We will see what the next packages will ban, we must also take care of that," said Vucic.

He stressed that our refinery is owned by the Russians and asked what if some part that must be imported from the US breaks down, and they refuse to sell it, and added that we should think about that as well.

"We are also waiting to see how we will get large helicopters for putting out fires, they are the best helicopters in the world, will they allow us to import them...", stated Vucic.

Belgrade will offer Pristina electricity in exchange for lignite

Vucic said that he would offer Pristina a barter arrangement for delivery of lignite from Kosovo and Metohija in exchange for electricity, or Serbia would pay for it with money. "We were ready to offer a barter to Pristina, to take significant amounts of quality lignite, and deliver electricity in exchange. If not that way then it can be paid with money. It's no problem for us and we are ready to talk about it," said Vucic.

He added that Serbia procured 100,000 tons of coal from Banovici, which is enough for five days during the winter, because another 20,000 tons are added to 70,000 tons of domestic coal for electricity production.

"We spoke about that today. I believe we will sit down to talk about it with them, as we will talk about the supply of electricity. What we offer as absolute security to everyone is food, because no one has it in sufficient quantities like we do. We are ready to offer it to everyone. No one will have as much gas as we have, either, but sanctions are killing us, so we will be in a serious problem and we can only solve it together," Vucic said.

Asked by journalists about the waiting of passengers at the Tabanovci crossing and the tourist season that is starting, he answered that they will talk about authorized economic operators who are doing well at the borders.
