Temperatures below average for this time of year: We reveal whether there will be more snow in Serbia

After the summer-like first half of April, a cold front yesterday overnight brought a drastic drop in air temperature to Serbia.

The second half of the month will be characterized by significantly colder and more unstable weather. Many parts of Serbia were covered in snow yesterday, with this type of precipitation happening in the lower parts of western, central and southwestern Serbia.

Although warmer than yesterday, colder than average weather is expected in the coming period, occasionally with rain and showers.

Some snowfall is expected in mountain areas over 1,000 meters above sea level.

While today it will rain in the lower regions, snow will fall on the mountains of Serbia.

On Friday, it will rain in southern Serbia, and there will be snow on the mountains.

Saturday will bring dry weather to most areas, while rain is expected on Sunday, snow on the mountains.

Unstable weather will continue for most of the next week, with occasional rain and thunderstorms, again with snow on the mountains.

Temperatures in the next 7 to 8 days will range mostly from 10 to 18°C.

When it comes to snow, it will occasionally fall in areas lying over 1,000 meters above sea level, at times even those at 700-800 meters.

5-10 centimeter of snow is expected, occasionally up to 20 centimeters on higher mountains.

Unlike yesterday, there will be no more snow in the coming period in lower regions of Serbia.

Just as April can surprise with summer-like weather, it can also bring real winter, which has happened this year.

After the summer-like first half of April this year, in 2023 much of the month was very cold, similar to the fall, with more than 15 centimeters of snow in Belgrade early in the month, up to 30 centimeters on the outskirts of the city, while the temperature dropped to 0°C.
