Woman's son ran out of apartment to get help, killer locked the door: New Belgrade crime details

Last night, a crime took place in Gandijeva Street in New Belgrade when Nikola L. (45) murdered his emotional partner Lela S. (55) using a knife.

The victim's son R.M. (23) was in the apartment and according to unofficial information Telegraf has received, at one point ran out of it to get help, but the killer locked the front door behind him.

"First they had an argument, and the son, realizing what was going to happen, ran out to get help from a neighbor, but Nikola locked the apartment, he was determined to kill her," a source told us.

It is assumed that the son forced the door open, only to find a gruesome scene.

His mother was stabbed, while her partner's throat was slit, but he was still alive. However, he soon died.

We have learned that a neighbor who heard the cries coming from the apartment called the police.

The investigation of this murder and suicide is led by the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade.
