Telekom Srbija General Director Vladimir Lucic has announced that he is traveling to Kosovo and Metohija on Friday, in order to support the company and its employees there, since Albin Kurti's administration is again making provocations as he is unable to form a new government in Pristina.

Lucic told TV Prva that he will be in Washington next week, where one of the topics of discussion will be obtaining the third Telekom license covering Kosovo and Metohija.

"Telekom Srbija, that is, its daughter company in Kosovo and Metohija, is effectively the strongest Serbian institution there, with 250 employees, 30,000 users, and as such it is always the target of attacks. Tension is now expected because the so-called Kosovo government cannot be formed. Attacks on Serbian institutions are constantly carried out with the intention of exiling as many Serbs as possible. Since Telekom Srbija in Kosovo and Metohija provides the internet connection and TV service, as part of the people's normal life, if that were to disappear it would contribute to them leaving," Lucic stressed.

He added that the company will continue to fight for the third license in Kosovo and Metohija, be more aggressive regarding the implementation of that this year, and that next week in Washington he will hold talks on this subject with members of the new US administration.

Lucic also said that TV subscribers are satisfied they can now watch all sports broadcasts in one place and that it is good for Telekom as this will reduce content prices and free up large financial resources, making it will be possible to broadcast more domestic competitions, other than just football and basketball leagues.

When it comes to Telekom's financial results, he said that 2024 was an extremely good year.

"In the financial reports for 2023, we had a one-time income from the sale of poles, so because of that we got called out a little, that we did not have big growth. However, 2024 (reports) will in fact show how much growth we have had from basic services, internet, television, fixed and mobile telephony. And in just two years, the revenue actually increased by over 300 million euros. Our revenue in 2024 was almost 1.4 billion euros, while two years ago, in 2022, it was less than one billion," said Lucic.

The Telekom general director added that this pace will continue this year as well, and that the company is "boldly moving towards the goal of achieving three billion euros in (annual) revenue."
