Dodik's strong reaction after the performance of Thompson in Zagreb: "What happened was not a concert, but..."

"Thompson's performance was not a musical event, but promotion of (historical) revisionism, affirmation of hatred and intolerance, celebration of crimes and those who committed crimes," stated Serb Republic (RS) President Milorad Dodik, commenting on a concert held by Marko "Thompson" Perkovic in Croatia over the weekend.
Dodik's post on X reads that this was "not a concert, but a political platform for an ideology (fascism) that was believed to have been defeated 80 years ago."
"When half a million people shout the salute under which hundreds of thousands of Serbs, Jews, Romani and others were murdered, then that rings the alarm not only in Croatia, but in the whole of Europe," added Dodik.
He noted that what happened on Saturday night in Zagreb does not contribute to building trust.
"Then we have to ask ourselves what kind of future is based on hatred, evil, glorifying the suffering of others, relativizing the death of the innocent. Everything that happened last night in Zagreb does not serve Croatia well and does not contribute to building trust. On the contrary, it undermines what little has been built so far," Dodik posted on Sunday.
About half a million people attended the concert in Zagreb, where the audience chanted the Ustasha slogan, "Za dom spremni!" ("For home ready!" along with the song "Bojna Cavoglava". The Ustasha were in power in the WWW2 Nazi-allied Independent State of Croatia (NDH).
The concert was attended by a large number of figures from Croatian public and political life, including President of the Croatian Assembly Gordan Jandrokovic.
