"Police, hands behind your back!": Man arrested in Belgrade for hiding drugs worth €350,000 in buried barrel

42-year-old P.Z. from Belgrade has been arrested in a police operation during which a large amount of heroin and cocaine, worth around 350,000 euros, was also seized!

UKP (criminal investigations police) officers went into the suspect's house shouting, "Police, lie down, put your hands behind your back!"

The video also shows that the suspect was hiding drugs in a barrel that was completely buried in the ground next to the house. The barrel contained packages of cocaine and heroin.

P.Z. is facing charges of illegal production and distribution of narcotic drugs.

The Interior Ministry (MUP) said that during the search of the suspect's house and yard about 10 kilograms of heroin and about 2.5 kilograms of cocaine were found, as well as equipment for packaging and selling drugs, and substances that are mixed into the narcotics to increase their mass.

"This arrest and seizure once again confirms the determination of our police officers in the fight against narco-crime," Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said, and added:

"I remind you that in the period between July 23 to August 20, the police made record seizures of narcotics in Belgrade - 62 kilograms of cocaine and two tons of marijuana, worth about 6 million euros. These were the biggest drug hauls in recent years and proof that nobody is untouchable and that no one can escape being held responsible."
