President Vucic: "Ongoing challenges require full attention of all institutions"

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic met today with the teams responsible for the country's energy stability and security. The meeting was held in the building of the General Secretariat of the President of the Republic in Belgrade.

"We discussed all the key issues related to the country's energy stability. I received a detailed report about the state of reserves, and we considered several different scenarios in order to protect the interests of our country, citizens and economy," Vucic said after the meeting.

The president said he reiterated during the meeting that the current challenges require the full attention of all institutions and responsible individuals, from whom he expects maximum efforts in terms of mitigating the consequences of sanctions (against NIS), while he emphasized the importance of quick and timely interventions by the state and a coordinated response to the current challenges.

"I especially stressed that it is of crucial importance that citizens are regularly informed, as well as not to be concerned, because all the necessary steps have been taken in order to maintain the operation of the most important systems that supply gas and oil derivatives," said Vucic.

The president concluded by saying that the support of citizens and the responsible behavior of each of us are of crucial importance for finding a sustainable solution that will guarantee further stability in supplying key energy sources.
