Serbia will host the Europa League final in 2029, UEFA has announced.

The decision was made at a meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee in Thessaloniki, and the most important match of the second-tier European club  football competition will be played on May 23, 2029, at the National Stadium in Belgrade, currently under construction.

In 2029, the Champions League final will be played in Barcelona.

The National Stadium in Belgrade was originally set to be completed next year, while according to latest information, the completion of the works is expected in early 2028.

This is another big show of UEFA's trust in Serbia, after Belgrade hosted the UEFA Congress last year, while Serbia, together with Albania, will also organize the European U21 Football Championship in 2027.
