Exactly 125 years ago Josip Broz Tito was born, lifetime president of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia from 1953 to 1980 and the League of Communists of Yugoslavia.

He was born on 7th May 1892 in the Zagorje village Kumrovec on the river Sutli. He was seventh out of 15 children in the family of Franjo Broz, poor villager, and Marija, maiden name Javorsek, Slovenian from the neighboring country of the Habsburg empire. He finished primary school in Kumrovac 1907, and for locksmith in 1910 in the workshop Sasek and Karas in Sisak, where he went to apprentice school.
He was a leader of the Communist party of Yugoslavia from 1937 to 1980, the leader of the National Liberation Fight of the people of Yugoslavia from 1941 to 1945, and later the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Yugoslavia. One of the founders of the Non-Aligned Movement.
He died on 4 May 1980 in Ljubljana. The next day, May 5, coffin with his remains came to Belgrade on a Blue train from Ljubljana. He was placed in the hall of Yugoslav Assembly, where state officials and citizens marched honoring the Yugoslav head of state.
On the 7th May over 200 foreign delegations bowed to the coffin of Josip Broz in Federal Parliament.
He was buried the day after his 88th birthday - 8 may 1980, at his own request in the House of Flowers on Dedinje with 209 delegations from 127 countries and 700.000 people.
