A handsome man from Becej, Vladimir Knor is a real example that a family tradition is being passed from one generation to the other. His father and grandfather started the barber craft, and Vladimir followed their steps six years ago and continued the almost 70 years long tradition.

He opened his barber shop in 2015 in September and he has been his own boss ever since.

Old razors that are no longer being used are the witnesses of the tradition the Knor family has, and they take up a special place in the shop. Although there was a rule that you don't schedule at the barber in the past, it's not like that today, mostly due to a different lifestyle, but also, for a greater number of customers.

The customers can have a classic haircut and a hair wash, a trim and shave with previous preparation and heating of the face with a warm towel.

- Shaving is the most demanding part of the craft, though customers rarely ask for this service, says the young barber. The work on beard mostly comes down to the trimmer, but that's not easy if you don't know how to do it - Vladimir said.

Besides that, young man from Becej has the love for music and ard, so you can see him on different types of concerts all the time.

In order to become a successful barber, you need patience, creativity, capable hands, and good tools, because, you can’t make bricks without straw.

- I have definitely decided to stay here. I had the opportunity to go abroad and to do this job, but I have Becej a chance - Vladimir said. 

This man has a desire to develop his job here in Becej in the time when a lot of young people are going away searching for a job, better pay, and better living conditions.
