The saddest love story in Serbia: Zlata's male died, and then Zlatan appeared and did something terrible!

The chances for a female who is not abandoning her eggs to survive without regular partner are less than 5 percent

Bird lovers from Krusevac and members of the family Pantelic from the place Ridjevici, in the village near Trstenik, Pocekovina, managed to make a miracleTo tame the stork which was lying on the eggs.

A dolphin strayed near the coast among the swimmers in Slano, so it decided to swim around and play with them (VIDEO)

They fed her and gave her water for almost three weeks using several meters long pole so she could save her offspring. They anticipated the hatch of the chicks in the nests on a electric pole near the house of Pantelic.

- We secured the food with the help of donors for the next month, we took care of the stork ever since the male died due to the broken wing, but you can't go against the love for nature - said Miroslav Stojanovic for "Novosti", President of the Association for education, protection and study of birds and their habitats "Golden Feather".

He added that a new male came who threw the eggs out of the nest.

New male came, and as it goes in nature, he threw out the eggs so he could have his chicks with the female. They should hatch in few days, and perhaps there will be new ones from that nest.

So the stork, who was named Zlata, practically "remarried", and the new tenant of the nest, who was known as Zlatan, didn't want someone else's offspring.

- My husband tried to feed her, but she didn't want to take anything from us. We are sorry that the old eggs are gone, but we will certainly be happy for new storks, if there are any - said the woman.

Eggs thrown out of the nest

The chances for a female who is not abandoning her eggs to survive without regular partner are less than 5 percent, so the success of the bird lovers and families around Trstenik is even greater.

- Perhaps we could save the eggs, in cooperation with Jagodina Zoo and hatcheries, Electric distribution company from Trstenig did not help us. We begged for the basket to approach the nest easier and to see what was going on with the eggs when we noticed that new male is going around Zlata, but in vain - said Miroslav Stojanovic.
