Money stuck like glue to him, and he left everything and went to forest: Nikola claims he is not missing anything and that he is truly happy (VIDEO)

Croatian Nikola Boric (40), one of the best world athletic coaches, went to woods above Slavonic village Kokocak and started building his home

Four years ago, in the search for inner peace, he stumbled across some ad and pursuing it, he arrived to Kokocak, Nikola knew it will be his paradise at first site. He says, he went around the world, everywhere with his athletes, and he was welcomed like a king and had the best possible accommodation, but - he never experienced drinking water from a spring, for example.

Country for old men: By 2030. there will be only old folks in Serbia. And they will leave alone

Croatian Nikola Boric (40), one of the best world athletic coaches, went to woods above Slavonic village Kokocak and started building his home. He wants no internet, water, electricity, he wants to live like a hermit.

Village Kokocak, in nature park Papuk, can't be found on the map. Five people used to live there. And then Nikola came and started to build his home, on everybody's amazement.

Additional amazement was caused by the announcement that he doesn't intend on get electricity, he needs no water nor Internet, nor television, nor radio that other people already have. However, he surprised all of us when he said that he shared everything he had with his friends. He will leave just enough for himself to buy the location where he will build a cabin and call it "enjoying your inner peace".

My philosophy comes down to living in harmony with nature, with not litters, no garbage, helping the local community and finding your inner peace. I found all of that in this village and my arrival here, as much as it sounds and seems radical to you, was not the decision i made over night. I was never much interested in money, even though it stuck like glue to me and i had no problem with it. Simply, i wanted to dedicate more to nature and to change completely my way of life.

I want to be a peasant - said Nikola, who won many gold medals on world championships and Olympic games.

While watching the lot which was offered for sale, he put a sleeping net between trees and slept on it for days. He knew he will return there. Upon his return to Turkey, where he was head coach of athletic national team of that country, he gifted the company to his business partner worth one million dollars and he said he is no longer interested in that.

Material things mean nothing to me. Life in Kokocak became my greatest life challenge. I have no plans, i don't care, i may think about starting my car and going to north pole. I know i have to prepare firewood for tomorrow because i know i don't have any now and that's it - said Nikola through smile.

Nikola reached the top in the job he was doing. He said, "he climbed Mount Everest in athletics and there is nothing more to do, every other climb is not interesting anymore".

- I love, i adore my coaching job, but simply, i lost motivation to do and repeat all those successes - said Nikola.

From the "achievements of civilization" Nikola came to Kokocak with his "Lada Niva" and it is impossible to get to his house otherwise, with a mobile phone which is falling appar and he soon plans to toss it into the river, and a chainsaw, he used to clear the woods.

Until he built his barn, he slept on bales next to the big barrel he tuned into furnace.

- I did not go down to village when it was snowing up to 7 days. Friends tried to reach me but my battery died. When they  finally arrived to me in panic, they saw me sitting in short sleeves next to the warm furnace.

- I just smiled and wondered why were they so afraid - said Nikola.

He did not bring any books to the wilds and he "enjoys his head being empty".

- I miss nothing and i am thinking about nothing - said Nikola.

I have occasional company from a kitty that he simply calls - Kitty.

- Everything here is mine, earth, wood, oak planks from an old house, bricks from neighbors, i have no TV, no radio, no internet, i charge my phone at neighbors and i am truly happy - said Nikola.
