Spring blizzard, with hurricane wind, struck almost every country in the region. There is chaos on the roads, smaller places are cut off from the world, and the extremely low temperatures are making the situation even more difficult.

CROATIA

There is snow on the coast, and there is a real chaos on the islands.

Blizzard, hurricane winds, rolled trucks, long lines of cars can be seen in almost entire Dalmatia, and winter protection measures are active on all roads.

Snow created problems in entire Dalmatia, and kilometer-long columns of vehicles were created on the roads.

First, the snow began falling around Nerevta and in Vrgorac area, and then it spread to Imot region, Makarska Riviera, Omis and Split. 

The snow is falling today on Brac and Korcula. Winder conditions are on Peljesac and there is absolute traffic chaos. Split has been struck with winter for the third time this winter, and the temperature dropped below zero.

Besides that, a strong tempest that is blowing is causing problems, reaches the speed of 100 km/h.

Dubrovnik bridge is closed for all traffic due to hurricane winds, which reaches up to 170 km per hour, according to the local portal Dalmacija Danas.

Passengers who traveled by bus from Zagreb to Zadar were trapped in a snowstorm.

Antena Zadar transmitted that they couldn't travel any further so they spent the night in the monastery Gracac. There is snow in Konavli.

There is no information about longer waiting at the border crossings.

Bosnia and Herzegovina

Snow and Ice chained most of Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially Sarajevo, where it caused a complete collapse in traffic.

Due to the snowfall, traffic has been completely stopped on the roads Livno-Suica-Kupres and Glamoc-Mliniste, while the traffic is forbidden for cargo vehicles in the entire canton.

Strong wind is blowing in the wider area of Livan, Tomislavgrad, Kupres, Glamoc, and Grahovo.

 

There is a warning about the partial ice on the road, especially in higher areas, on the bridges, and on the tunnel entries. Wait time is no longer than 30 minutes at the border crossing points.

MONTENEGRO 

First days of spring on Cetinje remind more of winter. There is around 5 cm of snow in the city.

Snowy weather that caught the north of Montenegro has created smaller, mostly traffic problems in Rozaj municipality.

Snow in March, which came after a period of nice weather, has worried the local stock breeders, especially those whose food supplies are coming to an end. 

Spring snow and blizzard have snowed in the local roads on Durmitor, the access roads over Zabljak are passable, and the supply of electricity is regular.

According to information from the Department of Security, the main and regional roads are regularly cleaned and there are no serious difficulties with the obligatory use of winter equipment.

The snow cover on Durmitor reached 70 centimeters, and up to a meter in higher areas. 

Macedonia is also under snow, so the traffic for trucks is forbidden for now on all roads.
