US Ambassador in Belgrade Anthony Godfrey tweeted that his father has died from coronavirus.

Godfrey informed the public that his father had passed away on April 7 and thanked the citizens for their prayers and words of comfort expressed to him.
"Another victim of this horrible virus was my father, who passed away yesterday. He had a long life, full of joy and accomplishments, but this does not erase the sadness of his loss. Please stay safe, we will beat this together. Thank you all for your prayers," Godfrey said on Twitter on April 8, in posts in Serbian and English.
