At one point, she was able to take advantage of his carelessness and escape from the car, but ended up in the hospital with serious bodily injuries and police later arrested Petkovski.

Then it was determined that he was already an offender, who was arrested in January 2012 on suspicion of sexual relations with a minor, whom he met through "Facebook". Before the Higher Court in Belgrade, he was sentenced to five years in prison, but as the Court of Appeal overturned that verdict, he awaited the new verdict in freedom and then attacked M. P.

After the verdict for the abuse of M. P., the High Court put Petkovski under house arrest.
