The score was tied at the beginning of the last period - 6:6.

We started playing furiously and managed to gain the first lead on the match.

Serbia had 3-goal-lead in one moment but Montenegrin team scored twice very fast and brought Arena to a stop.

The last minute was the crucial one!

The guests had the chance to even the score, but then our goalkeeper Gojko Pijetlović made a move of the game and worthy of the title!

He swam in front and took the ball originally meant for a Montenegrin player.

That opened up the space for our quick attack where Aleksić scored the goal and brought great cheer to the fans and players because it was evident that our team was the champion!

Montenegro team furiously started the match. They scored twice in first 2 attack charges through Vukčević and then Ivović.

Aleksić scored the first goal for Serbia in a magnificent way - the ball hit the post and went behind the goalie Šćepanović.

Still, the Montenegro team captain Nikola Janović scored in the next attack and brought again 2-goal-difference and this was the end score of the first period.

The way Montenegro started the first, that was the way Serbia started playing in the second period!

Defense line was tough on both sides, but Montenegro team managed to have the lead at the end of the second period because Aleksandar Radović scored after two Serbian players had got the expulsion in one attack.

Serbia won the third period with the score 3:2. Montenegrins were playing firmly and constantly had 1-goal-lead.

Darko Brguljan scored twice for the guests, while Mandić scored once, and Prlainović once for Serbia.

The last goal was a small master-piece right through the hands of the Montenegrin goal keeper.

Before the last period started, our coach replaced the goal keeper.

Instead of insecure and nervous Mitrović, Gojko Pijetlović took his post.

A couple of times during the last period  he reacted marvelously and strengthened the defense line of Serbia.

Serbian players scored 3 goals in a row through Mandić, Pjetlović, and Gocić.

But, Montenegrin players scored twice very quickly, which led to a real drama in Belgrade Arena.

In the crucial moments, Gojko Pijetlović swam in front of the player and took the ball, which opened the space for Aleksić to have 1-on-1 situation with the goal keeper Šćepanović and scored the goal which secured the 7th title of the European Champion!

Two goals for Serbia scored Prlainović, Ćuk, and Aleksić, while Filipović, Jakšić, Pijetlović, and Mandić scored once.
