"Singer" had its luxury dealerships in almost every major city in the former Yugoslavia, and almost always in the center.

The starting of "Singerica

The first prototype of the "singer" was made by Isaac Merritt Singer, actor, inventor and entrepreneur from Pitstown state of New York. He was, incidentally, in 1850 arrived in Boston on a sewing machine repair "Lerou end Blodgett". Dismantling its complicated mechanism, Singer realized that sewing machine was much more reliable and less perishable if the shuttle is moved in a straight line (up and down) than circular, flatbed instead curved needle. He actually changed the logic, instead of needle following the cloth, his machine's needle just went up and down, a cloth was supposed to be moved in the direction of the seam. Singer decided to invest time and money in the production of new machines, and after 11 days and $ 40 spent on prototyping, gave birth to the first singer sewing machine.

So Isaac Singer in 1851, along with New York lawyer Edward Clark, founded the company under the name "I. M. Singer & Co ". In just two years, "Singer" has become the leading in US factories for the production and sale of sewing machines. The company in 1853 changed its name to "Singer Manufacturing Company" and opened a manufacturing facility in New York. NY The first sewing machines were sold at a price of $ 100, which was a fortune. Despite high prices, they were sold well because they sold them to repay. Customers were able to pay off their work on machines that have been received - instantly.
