Svetlana and Bogdan became parents of the little girl weighting 3.6 kilos. Team of doctors from the general hospital in Sabac, where the girl was born, point out that Lukic couple became parents in their sixth decade of life and this example should serve as an encouragement for everyone in Serbia because medicine is constantly advancing.

Svetlana turned 51 in January, and on 12th June, only five minutes after midnight, she gave birth to the little girl Jana.

- All emptiness i had in my soul, she fulfilled. I don't know what to say. As if God gave you a gift. She was born on a holiday, that is a gift from god - said for b92 Svetlana Lukic.

Happy dad Bogdan deeply believed that he will become father.

- I cried like i cry now from happiness. I am glad i became a father. Now, in late years, we will dedicate ourselves to her. We got he late. The God looked upon us - said Bogdan Lukic.

Lukic family is grateful to the medical team of Sabac hospital, who observed the pregnancy from the start to the end, even thou there have been three conceived fetuses.

- We managed to save the one fetus that was left. Since they left the hospital, there has been a constant supervision. We brought the pregnancy to the wanted 36 weeks, and the delivery was done by Caesarean section for safety reasons - said Dr Darko Vukojcic.

Svetlana Lukic is the oldest mother of Sabac hospital.

- I hope that this example will motivate other women to give birth. We need babies. Babies are still in fashion, i hope so - pointed Dr Dragan Milosevic, chief of gynecology and obstetrics.

This picture from the Sabac maternity hospital is a hope for all women who did not succeed to become mother in the years optimal to give birth. Biological clock is ticking slowly and its on the side of a new life.
