IVAN WILL BE KNOWN IN FORMULA 1: He made a F1 car, and this is what he needs to make a machine of his invention (PHOTO)

Ivan Stancic (32) from Kuman near Novi Becej, loved electronics and electrical engineering since he was a boy. By profession he is an electrical fitter, he learned from his father the locksmith craft.

He often constructed electric vehicles, wind turbines and many different devices and systems in his workshop which contribute or promote the independence of expensive conventional fuels.

However, a replica of the Formula 1 with the electric drive, is Ivan's largest invention.

- The idea for the design of such vehicle was self-inflicted as a top challenge. It is also the best way to promote the electric vehicle as a fun means of transport and, above all, economically feasible.

Ivan says that at first he could not to reach certain parts of an F1 car but it soon he began founding them on junkyard, so the engine is taken from an old electric forklifts, parts of BMW, and the inner part of the passenger plane seat .

On the prototype Formula One he has been working since 2008, slowly but surely:

"Electrical formula uses electric power 6,5kW in direct conjunction with the differential of the BMW. The body is a combination of steel pipes and polyester. Of the important elements I need to finish the so-called "PWM" controller with which it is possible to do precise speed control of electric motors and installation of special lithium pyrophosphate battery with supporting electronics".

"This last point is the most expensive, so for the purchase of LiFePo4 battery i wait for sponsorship. The figure is not great, but for me definitely unattainable. Even a minimal set of batteries costs about 1500 euros, while the factory controller costs between 300 and 500 euros depending on the model - explains Ivan.

As for the structure of the vehicle itself Ivan says he is did not experimenting, but that all the essential elements of a real car were copied  as far as possible in a modest workshop conditions.

- Suspension is almost identical to the real Formula 1 and I am particularly proud on that part of the job . In addition to the completion of the drive system, the mounting the front stabilizer and painting is expected as a part of the job, says Ivan.

Expected maximum speed of a Formula 1 car is 60 km / h, but with a very strong acceleration thanks to high torque of the electric motor and the differential with 3.6 times reduction.

- For higher top speed it is necessary for the structure to have series of changes, the increase in operating voltage or acquisition of a second electric motor. And I will definitely do in the future, explains this worthy young man.

Ivan said, if he drives slowly now, maybe the future is what he imagines it to be, with cars that are economically viable.
