CRY OF THE SERBS: My house was burned in Croatia, and now i have to pay because they destroyed it (PHOTO)

Perhaps, the entire case should be described as "You will apologize to them because they burned it down"

We did not go away on our own will, Croats chased us with guns. We did not rob and burn our homes. And i should pay now to tear it down to the ground? Who made me go away from my home, he should remove it as well - said Radovan K. (56) from Gospic. Only walls remained from his home, and as he said, he will have to pay for its complete demolishing and removal.

Croats, during the military operation "Storm" robbed, mined, burned and demolished Serbian homes.

Serbs will have to pay complete demolishing and removal of their debilitated and destroyed houses. However, as we found out, many refuse to do it on their expense.

I will not tear it down! Out of the question! Those who chased me away form it should tear it down - added Radovan K. from Gospic.

Snakes, rats and other rodents are now the residents within these walls. Houses from catalog turned into ugly and unpleasant picture.

They behave as of they deteriorated on their own. Their army did it and their people. I want the house demolished as well, because many cattle died because of the snakes hiding in them, but Croatia should regulate it, not the owners of the house - said Savo Strbac for our portal, president of the Documentation and Information Center "Veritas".

How come that someone whose house was burned in the nineties became debtor to Croatia instead of the victim

The cost of demolition is between 700 and 2,500 euros, depending on the surface and the amount of building materials. Croatian Serbs are shocked by this information.

- Everywhere I turn, I see the ruins. The scene is ugly, its not easy living besides those house. It should be demolished as soon as possible - said K.N. from Gospic.

Around hundred objects are already prepared for demolition, said from the Gospic municipality.

- Croats can't find the owners of those houses, so they are demolishing themselves. The city wants to charge the expenses of the demolition to the owners, so they are sending rescripts to the addresses because, people immigrated all around the world.

The state confiscates the property after some time because of the debt, and the owners have no idea about it - Savo Strbac.

The question emerges, what will children inherit, destroyed property or debts?

What is the feeling when you have to demolish the house you were born in, grew up in and had the best days of your youth? It seems that Croats don't care about that.
