Great forest fire in Croatia, which started yesterday in the afternoon near Kistanje, has caught the area of around 1.000 hectares, and the fire caught the part of national park Krka near the Monastery of the same name, which is not in danger, according to the local firefighters.

County fireman Darko Dukic said that there were 180 people on the field, and the Croatian Defense Ministry announced that it had sent 50 soldiers to help firemen.

- The fire is entering the national Park at monastery Krka, which is not in danger. The part of the fire towards Laskovic at Skradin is under control, and teams from Drnis and Promina are putting the fire out from Drnis side. Fire near Zelic at Knin is extinguished. The fire went next to the homes in the place Krnete - said Dukic.
