Two earthquakes of lesser magnitude struck last night, or rather this morning, the area near Plav.

The earthquake measuring 2.9 degrees of the Richter scale was registered 35 minutes after midnight, 11 kilometers northwest of Plav.

- Based on the numerical model of the intensity change with the distance in this region, the magnitude of the earthquake and the depth of the hypocenter, this earthquake could not cause material damage in the epicentral region - they said from the Institute.

A weaker one, 2.7 degrees on Richter scale, happened last night around 23.30 hours. That earthquake was registered 58 km north-east of Podgorica.

This area was struck on 4th January with the earthquake measuring 5.1 degrees on Richter scale, which caused great material damage to houses and auxiliary facilities. Another earthquake of lesser magnitude was registered on 10th January.
