I will miss your jokes, your craziness, and even our quarrels with each passing day: Sadness and love are echoing in the poem of the brother of Gojko who died

Gojko Grozdanic (20) from Apatin went out on Saturday evening with his friends, and they brought him home in a coffin. He was returning on foot because he didn't have the money. His body was found near the road, in the pool of blood. It is suspected that it was a hit and run.

No one could have imagined this tragedy. Friendly, calm, and withdrawn young man. Everybody misses him, especially his younger brother Strahinja, who wrote a letter. The greatest and the most sincere love of the two inseparable brothers could be felt in each word.

You were more than a brother who went through life with me. You have guided me through life and you thought me most of the things I know today and I believe you will continue teaching me and guiding me in difficult times. You have gone directly to heaven and heavenly paradise, the place where your soul will be rescued, only God knows why he needs you right now, but that is not the end...

You are in a better place, the place where we will meet one day once again, and you will continue to live in my heart and it will keep beating for you.

You have loved life, you looked forward to it, you were the most positive person that my soul knew. You made me happy in the saddest moments and only you could do that, you are the only one who understood my difficult soul and I was the only one who understood your cheerful soul. We accepted it and I love that you knew that, although I never said much. Even though I didn't say many things to you, you always knew everything, and I am sure you are looking at me right now and you are giving me the strength to survive in life. I am thankful for that.

Life wasn't easy for you, nor it was for me, but You were always stronger and I always draw strength to continue. You and I are the only ones that know what we have been through and what were we supposed to go through...

Life has just begun for you, you just got the wings and someone has cut them off... Your goodness and clean soul didn't deserve this, your life just began to bloom... Now, you are an angel who will sit on my shoulder to the end of my life and who will encourage in the future that we should have lived together. I am sure that you will give me strength, who else but you... I will miss your jokes which used to sweep me off of my feet, your craziness and quarrels. Know that you are staying in my heart until the last beat... Rest in peace and in the heavenly hug, watch over us and care about us from above... Somewhere above the clouds.

One day we will meet again..."

Gojko Grozdanic will be buried today at 14:00 at the cemetery in Apatin.
