On behalf of Belgrade, the letter was signed by the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric.

The document was signed within the Munich Security Conference.

A letter of intent to restore air traffic between Belgrade and Pristina signed on January 20 in Berlin with Lufthansa.

Before the signing, Djuric told reporters that the letter was not a legal act, but "an expression of the political will to have the line established" - adding that today is a "very important day" for improved transport links between Belgrade and Pristina.

"When this is realized one day, the railway between Pristina, Podujevo and Merdare will be rebuilt, and further on to Nis. Goods from central Serbia will then be able to arrive in Kosovo much faster, as will passengers," Djuric told Belgrade TV Prva in Munich, Beta is reporting.
