A 65-year-old man from the village of Sazli in Urosevac municipality, who passed away on Monday and was found after his death to have been infected with the COVID-19 virus, had been working as a driver at Camp Bondsteel for a long time, Pristina's Koha Ditore writes.

At the end of last week, the deceased (I.S) was regularly at work. Meanwhile, his relatives are waiting for health facilities to perform other tests for family members who may have had contact with him, Kosovo Online reports.

The brother of the deceased, a judge at the Basic Court in Ferizaj, said the family conducted the funeral according to recommendations coming from the central level.

"My brother had heart and breathing problems. After his death, the institute took samples and a test for coronavirus was positive, but he showed no symptoms of a flu. My brother worked as a driver at Camp Bondstil during this pandemic period. Up to two days before his death, he worked constantly. The funeral has already been done, meanwhile we have sent the list of family members to the institute and are waiting for them to come collect samples from us, because of possible contacts with the deceased," said his brother.

According to him, the man did not leave Kosovo during the pandemic.
