Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Eagle Hills CEO Mohamed Alabbar today visited the final works on the construction of the Galerija Belgrade facility, a part of the Belgrade Waterfront project.

Belgrade Waterfront is the largest construction site in Southeast Europe, with as many as 2,850 workers, of which 2,650 are Serbian and workers from the region, along with about 200 foreigners, said President Aleksandar Vucic.

This also speaks to how much labor is needed in certain areas in Serbia and how much space there is for employment, Vucic pointed out after visiting the final works on Galerija Belgrad.

He thanked Eagle Hills CEO Mohamed Alabbar for everything he has done so far, and pointed out that Galerija will be ready in a month to a month and a half.

"It's not done yet, and it already looks beautiful," Vucic noted.

He also pointed out that the Belgrade Tower is already making great progress, although, he says, some thought it would never be finished.

"I asked for and agreed with Alabbar to finish this tower next year before St. Nicholas Day, which means that in a year and two months the tallest building in Serbia and Southeast Europe will be completed, and phenomenally lit up," said Vucic.

My job, he added, is merely to prepare good fireworks, we will prepare good fireworks.

"It will be a new image of Serbia, the most modern part not only of Serbia and the region, but of the entire Southeast Europe," said Vucic.
