Prime Minister of the Provisional Institutions of Pristina Albin Kurti will visit Brussels next week and on that occasion meet with top EU officials, say sources from the government of so-called Kosovo.

They also say that during that visit, there will be no meeting with President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, as reported by Pristina media.

"Prime Minister Albin Kurti will visit Brussels mid next week, where he will meet with representatives of the European Union institutions. There will be no meeting between Prime Minister Kurti and Mr. Vucic," government spokesman Perparim Krieziu told Koha.net.

The last high level meeting between representatives of Pristina and Belgrade was held last September, when President Vucic and then Prime Minister of the Provisional Institutions of Pristina Avdullah Hoti met.

Pristina based portal gazetablic.com reported last night, citing international sources, that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti would meet in Brussels next week.

According to the portal, Vucic will be the first to travel to Brussels, followed by Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

They will discuss the possibility of continuing the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina during the meetings, and creating a framework for this process, a source had told the portal.

Vucic in Brussels on April 26

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will pay a working visit to the EU on April 26 during which he will have a series of meetings with European officials.

The goal of the visit and talks between the president of Serbia and top EU officials will be to accelerate Serbia's European integration.

Vucic is going to Brussels at the invitation of EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell, who will organize a working lunch for the top-level delegation from Belgrade.

Before that, Vucic will meet with President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, while a meeting with EU Commissioner for Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi is also planned.
