Parts of Serbia under snow: Up to 5 centimeters deep on roads, 30 on mountains, causing problems

The public company Roads of Serbia (Putevi Srbije) announced this morning that some road surfaces are wet and that there is up to five centimeters of snow on some of them.

There is up to five centimeters of snow on the sections Javor-Sjenica, Aljinovici-Sjenica-Novi Pazar, Raska-administrative line-Jarinje, Rbarice- Brnjak, Mionica-Divcibare-Kaona...

There is also snow in some areas in territory of Belgrade, Ivanjica, Novi Pazar, Uzice, Valjevo, Zajecar.

Access roads to winter tourist centers are passable.

Parts of Serbia under snow, problems with traffic on Mt. Zlatibor

Snow has been falling in southwestern Serbia, while Nova Varos has been hit by a blizzard.

The precipitation caused problems with traffic on Mt. Zlatibor, where snow is about 30 centimeters deep.

Snow cover has also formed on other mountains - Tara, Debelo Brdo, Kadinjaca, Stara Planina.

Road maintenance crews are on the ground.
