A new round of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina at the level of main negotiators will be held tomorrow in Brussels, and the main topic will be finding a solution regarding the decision of the so-called Central Bank of Kosovo (CBK) on the use of the Serbian dinar.

The Belgrade delegation, which includes numerous experts, will once again be led by the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, while participation of its chief negotiator, Besnik Bislimi, is expected from the Pristina side.

This is the seventh round of dialogue where the ban on the use of the dinar in Kosovo and Metohija will be discussed, which comes after the transitional period set by the so-called CBK to start implementing the decree on the ban expired, and after Pristina announced that measures would be taken against all those who use currencies other than the euro for cash transactions in Kosovo.

EU's special envoy for dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina Miroslav Lajcak announced on Tuesday that he will host the main negotiators from Belgrade and Pristina for talks aimed at finding a "sustainable temporary solution" for those affected by the so-called CBK's regulation on cash transactions.

The previous meeting, where Pristina's decision to cancel dinar payment transactions in Kosovo and Metohija was discussed, was held at the end of April in Brussels, but produced no concrete results.

Petkovic said at the time that Belgrade's approach was constructive, that it presented its proposals for finding a solution, but that Pristina did not want a solution.

After the meeting in April, Lajcak said that he presented a "compromise document" in an effort to bridge the differences between the parties, but did not specify what it was about.

The so-called CBK's regulation, which introduces the euro as the only official currency for cash payments in Kosovo and Metohija, entered into force on February 1.
